Sylure supports 45 file formats, including PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, JSON, HTML, EML, MSG and scanned images (PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WebP — read by in-house OCR). You can upload a single ZIP archive containing up to 100,000 files.

Each plan comes with a monthly upload allowance: 10 MB during the free trial, 3 GB on Starter and a tailored amount on Professional. Your allowance resets automatically on your billing anniversary. Failed or rejected uploads do not count towards it.

The free trial includes one user, while Starter supports up to three users with Admin, Analyst and Viewer roles. For additional seats, multiple teams or larger programmes, contact us about a Professional plan.

Yes. Personal data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM authenticated encryption. Connections are secured using TLS 1.2 or later, with HSTS enforced. Every upload is scanned for malware using ClamAV before it is processed. Searchable identifiers are protected using HMAC-SHA256 hashes, so raw personal data is not stored in search indexes. Access is managed through Viewer, Analyst and Admin roles, with accounts locked after repeated failed sign-in attempts. Actions are recorded in a structured, tamper-evident audit log covering more than 20 event types, which can be exported for compliance reviews.

Sylure uses several layers of security, including ClamAV malware scanning for every upload, role-based access controls and customer-managed deletion with configurable retention periods. All infrastructure runs in UK data centres. Security questionnaire responses and data processing agreement templates are available on request.

Enter a personal identifier, such as a name, email address, phone number or National Insurance number, and Sylure searches across your uploaded data. Results are brought together by data subject and can be exported as a structured bundle.

Yes. The seven-day free trial does not require a payment card and gives you access to the platform within the trial limits: 10 MB of uploads, one DSAR export, one administrator and no AI features. After seven days, your account becomes read-only. You can still sign in and view your data, but you will need to upgrade to Starter to continue working. AI features are available on Starter. You can also book a guided demonstration using your own sample data.

All Sylure data is hosted in the UK. It does not leave the UK for processing, backups or AI analysis. Our UK-only hosting model helps organisations in regulated sectors and the public sector avoid unnecessary international data transfer risks, Schrems II concerns and exposure to US-hosted infrastructure. UK data residency is built into the platform rather than offered as an optional setting.
